Veza Sur

Architect
Alejandro Barrios Carrero
Location
Miami

A boutique brewery in the heart of Miami’s Winwood Arts District, Veza Sur is a hip, relaxed place to engage with the local murals, jungley overgrowth and the crisp precision of the brewing process.

The light itself is embodied in a variety of styles from relaxed festoon and track lighting to precise, cold, sharp light on brewing tanks.

Contrasting brewery, bar and exterior areas along with a distinct white-on-black façade required a deft touch with the values of light, its tones and rendition. Meanwhile simple technical solutions such as track and replaceable optic fixtures permit future flexibility as the brewery grows and the market evolves.

Enhancing the informal designs of Alejandro Barrios Carrero, the lighting feels unselfconscious – a casual piece of interior design in spite of the technical performance.

Brought together in casual form, hipster lighting side by side with disciplined technical performance generate a clarity of experience rarely seen in such places.

Craft brewing lit by craft lighting has a coherence to which we raise a glass!
