This recreational building in upstate New York by Gluck+ provides a pool and spa, gym, cinema and office space as an extension of an existing home.  The sunken below grade pool space is unique in being entirely lit from beneath the water, rippling reflected light dances on the ceiling and scatters out.  The kitchen and gym utilize concealed or statement fluorescent fixtures to provide bright lantern volumes which are active and encourage the family to pass through and play, work out, cook or gather.  Meanwhile the office pops its head above the landscape, a periscope with a spectacular view.
