Advertising is a business in flux – increasingly tech focused, but still about the human factors. When Dentsu Aegis Network built out their new Culver City location, lighting was a key element in creating a positive, sharp space built around the staff.

In a well daylit office, artificial lighting can address the night more than the day – and circadian rhythms benefit. As the sun sets, color temperatures drop away to the background artificial lighting – 3000K, delivered from above with glare-free specular reflector downlights. Gentle uplight keeps the volume and architecture present, but consumes little energy and never draws attention.

Full daylight harvesting and careful use of shading allows the office to consume minimal energy during the day and to feel almost lit by desk lamps as night sets in.

Visual comfort is under-rated in the modern commercial environment – lessons learned long ago are brought back to life in this modern office.

Surface mounted technical lighting provides a powerful tool to deliver light where and how it’s needed.
