Following a devastating fire, the Barn with Aedicule was rebuilt from the stone foundations upwards. Foreseeing a long and intumescent future, the Architect Led Design Builders, Gluck+ introduced new kitchens, lounges and entertaining spaces lit both with generous concealed indirect light and flexible task lighting. Both were delivered from a robust suspended structure that represents the building’s industrial/rural past.

The craft of lighting from tracks is not in the basic product, but in its deployment – disciplined layouts provide a sharp visual frame to the space, while narrow beams and significant glare management deliver an atmosphere that feels driven not by the track, but by the accents it lights.

Generous indirect light brings warmth and depth to the wood ceiling.

The Barn with Aedicule will serve its family flexibly for generations to come.

Flexibility in residential lighting can be handsome and comfortable.
