ROSEWOOD PARK BEACH RESTAURATION

Architect
Woodhouse Tinucci
Location
Chicago

Much of Lux Populi’s work is hidden away in exclusive enclaves and private residences.  Rosewood Beach, on the other hand, is a public beach to Chicago’s north. The pavilions and boardwalk created by Woodhouse Tinucci Architects provide social activation and extend the useful hours of this stunning public resource into the night.  Each pavilion is individually lit for its task, with uplighting and wallwashing animating the beautiful timber walls and ceiling.  The lighting approach emphasizes moderate cost, very reliable fixtures creating a single flow-of-light solution for each structure – light appearing to flow elegantly and smoothly, never with competing flows.  This indirect-lighting strategy brings clarity and simplicity to the timeless structures.
